Rose Jones-Boyd joined the UChicagoTech team in June 2008 as the new Office Coordinator. As Office Coordinator, Rose offers administrative support to the entire UChicagoTech staff. A few of her responsibilities include managing the office calendar, fulfilling office supply needs, and assisting in event planning. Rose is also responsible for preparing invention disclosures for review by entering disclosure information into internal databases, completing initial government compliance reporting, and confirming disclosure submission to inventors as requested.
In addition to her general office responsibilities, Rose directly supports Director Alan Thomas, Deputy Director David Tiemeier, and Chief Operating Officer Timothy Honaker. Rose’s support includes managing their calendars as requested, scheduling meetings, completing expense reports, and organizing travel arrangements. Rose also works closely with Director of Finance Doreen Mitchell to process and reconcile office-wide expenditures.
Rose has approximately 15 years of administrative support experience, with responsibilities progressing from general office work to management of large corporate offices. Prior to joining UChicagoTech, Rose worked with REGUS Worldwide as a Senior Customer Service Representative and AMWINS/StewartSmith Mid America Insurance Agency as an Assistant Manager.
Rose received her B.A. in Sociology from University of Tennessee-Knoxville in 1991. She enjoys spending time with her husband and their dog, Faith, and is an avid reader.
