Jim Zitnick began at UChicagoTech in July 2006, as its new Director of Information Technology. He leads the effort to develop and architect strategic technology tools to support the translational research and commercialization of the intellectual property of the University. In addition, Jim’s responsibilities include the management and support of the technology infrastructure for the office.
Jim has over 30 years of experience in senior technology leadership roles for various multinational industrial companies. His most recent position was the CIO of a major international manufacturing company in Northern Illinois. He has also held various technical executive positions for UARCO, Emerson Electric, and John Crane International.
Jim attended Arizona State University, where he received both a BA in Economics and a Masters in Business Administration. He has also participated in advance study programs at UCLA, Dartmouth, and Northwestern. Jim is active in numerous technical organizations in the Chicago area aimed at supporting information technology and education.
