Heather Walsh joined the UChicagoTech team as an Associate Project Manager in April 2008, and was promoted to Project Manager in October 2009. As a Project Manager, she is responsible for the identifying, evaluating, securing IP protection, and commercializing inventions arising from University of Chicago research. Heather manages a large portfolio of technologies from diverse scientific disciplines with a focus on oncology, molecular biology, and neuroscience.

Before starting at UChicagoTech, Heather served as a patent search professional for Cardinal Law Group in Evanston, Illinois from 2007 to 2008 where she evaluated the validity of applications submitted to the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Furthermore, Heather conducted searches for private clients to assess the patentability of their inventions.
