Elizabeth “Libby” Saynor joined the UChicagoTech team in September 2005 as a Project Coordinator, and was promoted to Senior Project Coordinator in July 2008. Libby assists Project Manager Wade Williams and Deputy Director David Tiemeier in managing their patent portfolios. Specifically, she handles patent docketing and event monitoring, license maintenance, financial review, government and private foundation compliance reporting, as well as other intellectual property administrative matters.

In addition to her work as a Project Coordinator, Libby is involved with other office-wide initiatives, including leading the team responsible for the implementation and maintenance of an electronic system for the monitoring of licensee compliance. She also plays an important role in the tangible property licensing initiative of the office, which commercializes antibodies and transgenic animals developed by University of Chicago faculty members.

Prior to joining UChicagoTech, Libby was a Student Administrative Assistant at Michigan State University’s Technology Transfer Office. In this role, she assisted in budget keeping, led a team that improved budget procedures and filing systems, and worked closely with the Associate Vice President, Director, and Licensing Associates, providing them with administrative support.

Libby Saynor received a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology with a Bioethical Specialization from Michigan State University in May 2005. Libby is a native of Sheffield, England, who moved to the United States at the age of 16. She recently became a US citizen.
