Ben initially came to the University of Chicago in 2000 to conduct post-doctoral research at the Ben May Department of Cancer Research, where he investigated the regulation of cell death by JNK and NFκB signaling pathways and the regulation of cell death by retinoblastoma tumor suppressor gene. Ben also has prior industry experience developing novel anti-cancer agents within AstraZeneca’s signal transduction group in the United Kingdom.
